Air Show Flight Notice begins September 25 & 26; MCAS Miramar Air Show 2024 returns Sept 27, 28, 29

On September 27-29, the Miramar Air Show, the largest military air show, returns as America’s Air Show to provide a unique and special flight line experience with immersive experiences, static displays, and daytime shows that feature military demonstration teams, civilian aerobatic teams, aerial solo acts, vintage aircraft and warbirds.

The FAA has issued a Miramar Air Show flight notice to aviators, pilots and the University City area for Wednesday to Sunday, September 25-29, due to aerobatic demonstrations at the MCAS Miramar Air Show. Details at: https://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_4_7965.html

People in the area of MCAS Miramar are likely to experience unfamiliar aircraft flying overhead in unusual flight patterns and experience increased levels of noise including noise of simulated explosions and from aircraft engines.

  • Wednesday, September 25: Aircraft, performers, and exhibitors are expected to arrive at MCAS Miramar
  • Thursday, September 26: Air Show Practice Day and Media Day
  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, September 27-29: Air Show Days
    • The Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) is scheduled at 12:20 p.m. on Air Show Days
    • The US Navy Blue Angels and Fat Albert are scheduled to perform at 3 p.m. on Air Show Days
