It’s the last week of October 2024 and we’re getting ready for Halloween in University City. And to help us get in the mood, both Standley Park and University City High School are hosting public events this week.
- 🎃Saturday, October 26 at Standley Park and Recreation Center: Halloween Arts & Crafts, a Costume Parade and a Movie in the Park. The Standley Park Community Recreation Group and Parks & Recreation staff invite the community to their annual Halloween arts & crafts and costume parade on Saturday, October 26, at 5:15 PM. This year’s Halloween Movie, Transylvania 3, will begin around Sunset. Please bring your own blankets and chairs. For more information, call Standley Recreation Center at: 858-552-1652
- 🎃Wednesday, October 30 at University City High School: Spooky Night Trunk or Treat. UCHS invites the community to their second annual Spooky Night Trunk or Treat event on Wednesday, October 30 from 5 to 7:30 PM, University City High School on Genesee at Centurion. Put on your best costume and come celebrate a night filled with exciting activities, delightful treats, spooky, entertainment, games, and activities by clubs and booths from local businesses. Tickets for games and food cost one dollar each. there will be a costume contest with prizes, a pumpkin carving contest, a haunted house experience, and delicious food and drinks available.
