Hello University City, Happy Memorial Day weekend. No matter what’s on your schedule this weekend, please keep in mind that Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. From 1868 to 1970, it was observed on May 30. Since 1971, it is observed on the last Monday of May.
In the University City community, there is a lot going on this last week of May, including Memorial Day observances. We hope to see you out and about this week. UCCA is out there and we hope you are too.
