From the City of San Diego: The intersection of La Jolla Village Drive and Towne Center Drive will be under construction 24/7 starting Sunday night, June 18. Expect traffic delays; take alternate routes.
Pipeline construction work for the City’s Pure Water program will require the partial closure of the La Jolla Village Drive and Towne Center Drive intersection in University City for an estimated two weeks, beginning after 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 18. If possible, please use I-5 to access University City instead of I-805.
The La Jolla Village Drive intersection work will occur 24/7 for two phases, 7-days for each phase starting June 18, 2023 through approximately July 2, 2023.
Two-way traffic on La Jolla Village Drive will be maintained at all times. For public and construction crew safety, and construction efficiency, the project will occur in two phases and lanes will be shifted around the construction zone for each phase. Construction will occur 24 hours a day.
