Lots of activity at MCAS Miramar today and expected for the rest of the month.
And, since they are operating with only one runway, we may see more aircraft in the air as they circle around waiting for the runway to clear.
More MCAS Miramar information available at https://www.universitycitynews.org/mcas-miramar-operations-information-and-contacts/
If you would like to see the flight tracks of some of the aircraft, you can use WebTrak* http://webtrak5.bksv.com/san,* provided by San Diego International.
For example, this morning, June 1, the Secretary of Defense left Miramar at approximately 10:15. Attached is a screen print from WebTrak.
*Please note, radar feed is not live; there is at least a 32 minute delay with WebTrak.
In other Miramar news, on June 4 and June 5, Saturday and Sunday, MCAS Miramar Fire Department will be conducting a series of prescribed burns near Aqueduct Road in East Miramar during daytime hours. Smoke will be visible from freeway corridors and to local communities during this time.
