Marine Corps Air Station Miramar has issued a controlled burn notice for Saturday, March 29, 2025: The MCAS Miramar Air Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) will be conducting a controlled burn on March 29th, from 4:00am to 9:00am on base. This planned burn is an important part of land management efforts to reduce wildfire risks, promote ecosystem health, and maintain safety in our community.
During this time, you may see smoke and flames in the area. Please do not be alarmed as trained professionals will be monitoring the burn closely to ensure it remains controlled and safe.
