From UCPG (planning group) chair Chris Nielsen: I have attached the agenda for the UCPG meeting on February 11, 2025, at 6PM in person and on zoom. This will be a hybrid meeting, in person and on Zoom. Zoom instructions are to be found on the agenda (and at the end of this post). I hope to see you all on Tuesday.

We have three major items this month.
- Item #7: UCPG Elections. UCPG elections will be held in person on March 11 at our meeting location, 9880 Campus Point Drive, third floor patio, from 5PM to 8PM. Drop-off ballot boxes will be available for UCPG members only at the two UC libraries during opening hours March 3 to March 10. An election notice will be posted no later than March 1 here: https://www.sandiego.gov/planning/community-plans/university/planning-group with voting instructions. This year the “C” seats are up for election, plus other seats that are vacant. Some candidates have declared for seats, but nominations for any seat in the list on the agenda 2025_02_11_Agenda_UC may be made by email to cn@adsc-xray.com or in person at the February 11 meeting.
- Item #8: Action Item: UC San Diego Banner District. UC San Diego proposes a banner district that will ring the campus. UC San Diego will provide information on the project and request a letter of support for the project.
- Item #11: Action Item to add the “small” renovation project for the University Community Library to our CIP list. We will do a final ranking of the list. This project includes facility improvements such as interior/exterior paint, new flooring/carpet, sound dampening in the community room and other items to be determined. It will be paid for by a $1.9 grant from the state of California already funded specifically for this library plus funds the city adds.
We have two Campus Point items by Alexandria. Costa Verde will not be on the agenda this month but will be soon.
- Item #12: Information Item. Alexandria Mobility Initiatives for Campus Point and Genesee. Alexandria will update the mobility initiative for Campus Point presented to the UCPG twice before. Parts of the initiative will be included in the Action Item that follows this information item. Adaptive traffic signals are included for Genesee.
- Item #13: Action Item. PRJ-1114437, Alexandria Campus Point project. Alexandria will present the project described in agenda item 13 and request a planning group recommendation.
