Recruiting San Diego’s Next Chief of Police: City announces series of Community Meetings in January

From the City of San Diego: The City of San Diego is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the next Police Chief – a forward-thinking, collaborative person who can engage with a diverse and involved community, has experience leading and innovating in the area of public safety and has a demonstrated commitment to community-oriented policing.

San Diegans will have the chance to voice their opinions and participate in the recruiting process through nine community meetings – one in each City Council district.

The meeting in Council District 6 is on Thursday, January 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Alexandria Tech Center, 9605 Scranton Road, San Diego, CA 92121.
