Everything you wanted to know about Pure Water at Genesee and Governor but are afraid to ask:
👉⚠️Mon, Sept. 11, 2023 Pure Water Governor Drive: Pipeline construction will start in the Governor Drive and Genesee Avenue intersection as part of the City of San Diego Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project in University City. Preparation work is ongoing at this week in the intersection.
🚧Construction teams will be installing one 48-inch wastewater pipeline and one 30-inch brine pipeline in a 20-foot-deep trench through the intersection. Construction in the intersection will be done in two phases and lanes will be shifted around the construction zone in each phase to maintain two-way traffic on Genesee Avenue and Governor Drive at all times.
🚧Construction for Pure Water pipeline installation will occur at night from 🕗8 p.m. to 🕠5:30 a.m. over approximately six 6️⃣weeks. The intersection will be plated and reopen during the day.
