Pure Water Construction Update:
⚠️Mon, Sept. 11, 2023 Pure Water Governor Drive: Pipeline construction will start in the Governor Drive and Genesee Avenue intersection as part of the City of San Diego Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project in University City.
🚧Construction teams will be installing one 48-inch wastewater pipeline and one 30-inch brine pipeline in a 20-foot-deep trench through the intersection. Construction in the intersection will be done in two phases and lanes will be shifted around the construction zone in each phase to maintain two-way traffic on Genesee Avenue and Governor Drive at all times.
🚧Construction will occur at night from 🕗8 p.m. to 🕠5:30 a.m. over approximately six 6️⃣weeks. The intersection will be plated and reopen during the day. ⚠️Wed, Sept. 13, 2023 Pure Water Community Outreach: UCCA will host a two-part meeting on Wednesday, September 13. UCCA Election Notice: The University City Community Association (UCCA) will hold its bi-annual election for officers this fall. The elected officers of UCCA are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Elected officers must be University City residents and are elected for a two-year term; the President may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
Self-nominations are welcome. All nominees for officer positions must be UCCA members and have attended a minimum of two regular meetings in the 12 months preceding the time of nomination. For more information about UCCA and to review its bylaws, visit: universitycitynews.org/ucca-about-us
