Beginning Sunday June 18, construction will begin at the Towne Centre Drive and La Jolla Village Drive (LJVD) intersection as part of the City of San Diego Morena Northern Pipelines and Tunnels project in University City. Two-way traffic on La Jolla Village Drive will be maintained at all times.

Ongoing and continuing:
- On Genesee Avenue, crews continue to work from State Route 52 to Governor Drive. Work hours for this project are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through November 2023. Two-way traffic is maintained, and there will be no intersection closures as part of this work.
- On Towne Centre Drive from Executive Drive to La Jolla Village Drive, crews began working in May. Looking ahead, crews will be working on the intersection of Towne Centre Drive and La Jolla Village Drive in June. More information about traffic control, phasing and schedule will be available at the June UCPG (planning group) and UCCA (community association) meetings.
- Tunneling work at the I-805 shaft on Executive Drive and work for the San Clemente Tunnel located at the Genesee Avenue lot at Marian Bear Memorial Park.
