From Pure Water San Diego: Night Work to Start April 18 for North City Pure Water Facility. Beginning April 18, through approximately July 2022, nighttime construction will occur on Eastgate Mall between Eastgate Drive to Judicial Drive from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. from Sunday nights to Thursday nights. Crews will be constructing a pipeline across Eastgate Mall between the North City Pure Water Facility project site and the North City Water Reclamation Plant.
This work will involve excavation, shoring, pipeline installation and road restoration. The pipeline will convey the recycled water at the North City Water Reclamation Plant to the North City Pure Water Facility for advanced purification.
Eastgate Mall between Judicial Drive and Eastgate Drive will be fully closed during overnight work hours. Vehicles will be routed to La Jolla Village Drive/Miramar Road by traffic control, and detour signs will be posted.
Water and utility service interruptions are not anticipated, but nearby properties will be notified by the contractor if service outages occur.
