It was a big day for the University City Fire Safe Council at Saturday’s Oktoberfest sponsored by EdUCate!, the University City Foundation for Public Schools (https://uceducate.org/). The Fire Safe Council provided outreach and fire safe information to hundreds of community members, families, and students. In addition, the Fire Safe Council hosted representatives from the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and Lifeguards.

The Fire Safe Council was recognized by both San Diego City Councilmember Joe LaCava and County Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer for its efforts to make University City and San Diego County a more fire safe community.
