From UCPG Chair Chris Nielsen: The University Community Planning Group (UCPG) will meet Tuesday, October 13, 2020, , 6 PM, using Zoom video conferencing technology. Please note that Todd Gloria will give a presentation on state legislative issues at the beginning of the meeting. We have two information items on important natural areas in our plan area, Los Penasquitos Lagoon and Torrey Pines State Reserve. For both, I’ve asked our presenters to include how best the UCPG can review projects nearby in order to protect the Lagoon and TPSR: native plants, storm water, lighting, etc.
There is an information item presented by Public Power San Diego on a public power option for the City’s Franchise Agreement for electric power. I have attached their fact sheet for reference at Public Power Fact Sheet for 2020_10_13_Agenda_UC
Finally, our remaining item is an action to approve the annual report to the City.
