From Elizabeth Fattah, University City resident and member of Conservation Committee of the San Diego Sierra Club: The Climate Council of Greater Kansas City is sponsoring a public webinar Herbicides are Poisonous for Children and Other Living Things on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at 5:00 PM PDT.

This is a discussion of the dangers of herbicides including:

  • How Roundup damages the immune system and its links to non-Hodgkin lymphoma
  • Explore links between environmental racism and using chemical poisons for agriculture, state parks and urban green spaces.
  • How do herbicide sprays leave people more exposed to COVID-19?
  • Hear about efforts by industry to cover up these threats and what local activists can do about it.
