As published by the San Diego Union Tribune on June 16, 2020: San Diego Unified School District said Tuesday it will move forward with plans to physically reopen schools this fall, citing news that state legislators voted on a budget proposal Monday that would spare public schools from funding cuts. The news also comes the day after a San Diego County health order was issued that allows all schools in the county to hold classes on campus effective Tuesday. Schools can physically reopen as they comply with state reopening guidelines for schools and post detailed plans for how they will comply with guidelines.

San Diego Unified is holding a board workshop today, June 16, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. on plans for reopening. The link to the live stream of the workshop will be available on the district’s website at https://www.sandiegounified.org/board-education
