Parking lot patching and repairs in store for University Square on Governor Drive

Share

The parking lot at University Square, home of Vons Supermarket and Rite-Aid, at the corner of Governor Drive and Genesee Avenue, will undergo a planned maintenance and repair project beginning mid to late February, according to property management.

In an email statement to UCCA’s president, property manager Hildebrand Weatherspoon wrote that the parking lot is re-striped every year to make it look fresh. Every 3-5 years, depending on the condition of the lot, property managers schedule a parking lot re-seal and stripe again.

According to Weatherspoon, “This year, within the next week, as a matter of fact, we will be performing quite a bit of concrete and asphalt work. It will be a little disruptive, but it will address some areas in need of maintenance. Within the next 2-3 months (the time needed for asphalt to cure), we will perform the seal and striping of the lot. It’ll look new again!”
