From the Planning Department: Please join us for the University Community Plan Update Subcommittee Meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be held at University City High School – Media Center/Library located at 6949 Genesee Avenue, San Diego, CA 92121. Please be reminded that no food is allowed in the Media Center/Library.
January 2020 agenda items include:
- Item 1 INFO ITEM – Project Status: City staff will provide an update on the Community Plan Update. Staff will also provide an overview of the purpose of this meeting and the expected takeaways for attendees, subcommittee members, and staff. Presenters: City Staff
- Item 2 INFO ITEM – Adopted Land Use – Housing: City staff will provide an overview of the adopted land use as it relates to housing. Presenters: Katie Witherspoon, AICP
- Item 3 INFO ITEM – Mobility Corridor Survey Feedback: City staff will review the results of the Mobility Corridor Survey. Presenters: Katie Witherspoon, AICP
- Item 4 INFO ITEM – Urban Design – Context & Building Typologies: City staff and consultant team will provide an overview of the historic pattern of urban design in University spanning the last decades with a focus on the context of change and development. Diego will elaborate on building typologies and how urban form integrates with the landscape of the University Community Area. This presentation will identify areas within University which are applicable to this conversation. Discussion will occur at several points throughout the presentation.
