UC Celebration on July 4 at Standley Park includes something for everyone!

New for kids in 2018 – snow playground, Zorb (hamster) ball, and unlimited play wristbands.

The 29th Annual University City Celebration returns to Standley Park on Wednesday, July 4. Festivities start off with the 5K/One-Mile Fun Run and a delicious Pancake Breakfast, and end with the band True Stories performing from 5 to 7 PM. Throughout the day, there are activities for the entire family.

The bike and pet parade at 10:30 followed by a flag ceremony and National Anthem at 11 are always crowd favorites. Enjoy family entertainment, food, field games, free swim, car show, slug-a-thon, shopping, community group booths, children’s play area, snow play for those 10 and under, book barn, photo scavenger hunt, opportunity drawing, and for adults 21 and older, a beer and wine garden. Plus, FREE trolley service is provided from 11 AM to 7:30 PM with stops along Governor Drive.

Fun Run and 5K update: No pre-registration this year. Race registration and bib pick-up will occur at the Standley Park Recreation Center on July 3 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM; and on July 4 by Swanson Pool beginning 6:30 AM.
