Wildfire Awareness Week 2018

Share

Although dry in much of Southern California, Northern California’s wet winter created a sizable crop of new grasses.

But don’t let our weekend’s cool weather fool you as our grasses are already dry and fuel for wildfires.  Now is the time to act to prevent wildfires.

Already this year, CAL FIRE has responded to more than 950 wildfires that have burned over 5,800 acres.

You can find ways to prepare for any type of disaster at Ready San Diego at http://www.readysandiego.org/
