Girl Scout Troop 3470 is hosting a clothing drive to support My Girlfriend’s closet (https://www.mygirlfriendscloset.info/). This organization gathers clothes for teen girls and organizes a shop where the girls are given these items.

If you have quality clothes for girls aged 12-22 and would like to support our cause, please see the collection sites below.

  • Standley Recreation Center, 3585 Governor Drive, August 7-18
  • UC High School, Genesee Avenue and Centurion Way, August 17-22 during registration days
  • Collection day at 3226 Galloway Drive, University City, August 19, 9 AM to 12 noon

We are University City Girl Scout troop 3470. Our troop has been together since Kindergarten, so we have done many projects, earned lots of badges and patches, formed lifelong friendships, and of course have had a lot of fun!

Now we are working hard on our Silver Award Project, which the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. This project gives us the chance to show our leadership and organizational skills, and show our determination and dedication to improving your community.

Now we need your help!  We will be teaming up with a local nonprofit organization, My Girlfriend’s Closet, to distribute clothing items to homeless, foster, and economically disadvantaged girls ages 12 to 22. My Girlfriend’s Closet collects clothing then creates a store where these girls “shop.”
