Courtesy of Barbara Gellman, Neighborhood Watch Coordinator:

Fostering a cooperative relationship between law enforcement and the community is essential to maintaining safe neighborhoods.

Please join community residents and law enforcement officers for the National Night Out Dance Marathon to benefit the San Diego Police Foundation.

This is a major fundraiser for the San Diego Police Department through the San Diego Police Foundation. The Foundation is raising money for several major equipment items that are not included in the SDPD budget.

University City, along with Clairemont through Neighborhood Watch, are inviting residents to attend this high energy event.

There will be food trucks, prizes and surprises. Put on your dancing shoes and show everyone your best moves on the dance floor.

The event will be held at Standley Park on Tuesday, August 1, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM and is open to all ages.
