2016 Summer Concert SeriesSunday’s Summer Concert, 5-7 PM, at Standley Park, 3515 Governor Drive, features the first time appearance of Rifftide and UC resident Jill Harvey. They specialize in Rock and Top 40 so bring your dancing shoes as well as a picnic dinner. The concert is free to all and sponsored by the Standley Park Recreation Council, Scripps Health, and University City Community Association.

During intermission, UCCA will host several short presentations:

  • UCCA will honor its many volunteers, including Neighborhood Watch and newsletter delivery, with a special thank you from Council President Sherri Lightner and a gift from UCCA.
  • Then San Diego County Supervisor Dave Roberts will announce via a “proclamation” UCCA’s designation as part of the San Diego County’s “Live Well San Diego” coalition.
  • And lastly, Amber Ter-Vrugt from Scripps Health will be introduced and thanked as one of the sponsors of the Summer Concert Series.

Note: In recognition of the tragic death of a SDPD Officer and the wounding of another, UCCA will also express thanks and appreciation to all SDPD Officers and, especially, our own Northern Division Officers. We support them. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Officers, their friends and families. We hope all University City neighbors will join us on Sunday.
