Swanson Pool summer schedule begins June 25 and ends September 5, 2016. Refer to the schedule for registration and session dates.

Summer Pool offerings include:

  • Swim lessons
  • Youth swim team
  • Youth water polo
  • Pool passes
  • Lap swim
  • Recreational swim
  • Water Fitness classes
  • Parks Fit San Diego
  • *Sunday Fun Days, July 10-Aug 14. Stay cool at the pool! Grab your swimsuit and sunscreen and join us every Sunday starting July 10 for Fun Activities, Music and Food. *Not available at Swanson; refer to Summer Schedule for locations.

Online and Walk-in registration opens at 12 PM on the registration dates listed by session dates. To view class times and availability, log on to online registration site.  Go to SDRecConnect to create an account, register for a class or to view class schedules.  After creating an account for yourself, add your family members. Pool staff is available to provide assistance with all on-line and walk-in registration concerns.

UC 4th of July Celebration takes place on Monday, July 4.

Back by popular demand, the Celebration includes great music plus a 5k race, pancake breakfast, pet and bike parade, kids activities, a beer/wine garden, vendor booths, and much more!

  • Sunday, July 24 – SWEETHEARTS of SWING – Music from WWII era & Andrews Sisters Tribute
  • Sunday, July 31 – RIFFTIDE – Rock & Top 40 with UC resident Jill Harvey

Banana Split 2015 17Annual Banana Split Day at Standley: The 35th Annual Banana Split will be Sunday, August 6, starting at 2 PM. All are welcome to join the fun and help eat the 300 foot Banana Split. This Standley Park tradition is completely FREE!

Ice cream is generously donated by the Heimberger Family. Toppings are provided by the Standley Park Recreation Council. Participants are asked to bring their own banana. Desserts served at 2 PM sharp! Partially sponsored by Sprouts.
