The Imagine UC 2020 projects are moving forward. The joint school district/city projects will be reviewed at the Recreation Council meeting at Standley Park on May 26 and an approval vote on June 23.
You can show your support by attending these meetings and see the plans for a new pool, a jogging path, a stage/pavilion and increased green space.
The Standley Park Recreation Council meets Thursday, May 26, at 7 PM at Standley Recreation Center, 3585 Governor Drive, University City, 92122; 858-552-1652.
The graduating Class of 2016 will be the first class at University City High School to meet the more rigorous college prep and career prep requirements of San Diego Unified. Staff has been working diligently across the district to help seniors meet all of their requirements in time for graduation.
At the same time that we have been working on increasing the graduation rate we also want to make a San Diego Unified diploma more meaningful for students entering college or going directly into the workforce.
