The 2016, 5th Annual Larry Yandel, Jr, Memorial Youth Fund Co-Ed Softball Tournament, takes place the weekend of April 16 and 17 at Standley Park in University City.

The Larry Yandel Jr. Memorial Youth Fund continues to donate to local sports and school organizations, such as University City Little League (UCLL), UC Del Sol Softball, La Jolla Pop Warner, Centurion Foundation and EdUCate!

All interested participants ages 18 years and older, should contact Dawn Yandel, dawnyandel@aol.com. Individuals can be placed on a team, or form a team of 10 players – co-ed (5 men and 5 women) – limited number of teams. Registration deadline is April 11.

Medals for 1st and 2nd place. Special trophy for most home runs (Larry always enjoyed the Home Run Derby). Larry’s Cup with past winners will be on display.

Saturday night, April 16, there will be five games (first game starts at 5 PM). The games will follow a girl’s fast pitch softball game (for an hour) between UC Del Sol team versus North Shore team (tentative).

Come watch the girls kick off the tournament. We are looking for a youth group to head up the concessions during the tournament (i.e. Girl Scout and/or Boy Scout troops).

If anyone is interested or knows of an interested group, please contact Dawn. Sunday games will begin at 10 AM and continue every hour until the Championship Game.

Note: All interested participants ages 18 years and older, should contact Dawn Yandel, dawnyandel@aol.com or refer to the attached flier.
