Women's History Month Northern DivisionFor Women’s History Month, the San Diego Police Department will feature officers who have been inspired by great women in their lives. Officers within the Department’s Northern Division share their inspiration.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.”

Eleanor Roosevelt practiced what she preached. She spoke about human rights and equality. She reshaped the role of The First Lady. Her story and quotes inspire the women of today.

We as women in law enforcement believe in peace and we work hard to keep the peace. Many women have inspired us throughout our lives to serve and protect our community. Eleanor Roosevelt is one of them.
