MCAS Miramar: Fire fighting training February 22-25; smoke may be seen from outside base

MCAS Miramar FireThe MCAS Miramar Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting squadron is scheduled to conduct firefighting training on the airfield from Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM.

The training will include a series of controlled burn exercises. The fires are part of the unit’s routine training program.

Some flames and smoke may be visible from nearby roadways, no visibility restrictions are expected and these fires are in a controlled environment.
