JFS: If You Can Drive, You Can Help

Share

From Jewish Family Service of San Diego:

JFS Every Ride Has a StoryOlder adults who have made the tough decision to “turn in their keys” fear losing their independence. When a person can’t drive, especially in San Diego, simple things such as medical appointments, visiting a loved one, taking a class, or attending a religious service become major life challenges.

If you can drive, you can keep an older adult connected to the people and places they love most.

Volunteering Is Easy, Flexible, and Meaningful

  • You choose who, when, and where you drive
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Secondary insurance provided by JFS
  • Convenient, web-based scheduling system
  • Rides average 10 miles round-trip
  • Serving 23 ZIP codes across San Diego
  • Open to drivers and riders of all faiths
