Genesee I-5 InterchangeIntermittent Daytime Lane Closure on Eastbound Genesee Avenue; Daytime Closure to Avoid Peak Commute Hours

Closures: Motorists can expect intermittent daytime closures of one eastbound lane on Genesee Avenue next week, Monday – Wednesday, December 21-23, between Interstate 5 (I-5) and the main entrance to Scripps Memorial Hospital. The far right lane of the northbound off-ramp also will be closed.

These closures will occur between 10 AM and 2 PM, avoiding peak commute hours, and are required for crews to work on a retaining wall east of the freeway. Two eastbound lanes will remain open. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.

We appreciate your patience as we work to improve the interchange.

Additional Closures: Throughout December and January, construction will require intermittent overnight lane closures on I-5, Genesee Avenue, and the on- and off-ramps at the interchange. View a detailed list of planned closures and associated detours at http://keepsandiegomoving.com/I-5-Corridor/I-5-genesee-intro.aspx

Please note construction schedules are subject to change.
