Welcome New Members!

The first Monday in December is Membership Monday in University City, the day University City Community Association (UCCA) says thanks to all those who have already joined UCCA for the upcoming 2016 calendar year.

If you’ve already renewed your membership for 2016, thanks again. If you haven’t had a chance to join or renew your membership for 2016, Membership Monday is the day to do so.

You can join online at https://www.universitycitynews.org/join-ucca-today/; or fill out the membership form located online and in the December/January newsletter, available at the UC Library on Governor; and at Friday’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.

UCCA is a volunteer organization. Membership dues are not used to not fund salaries; membership dues help fund University City events such as this week’s Tree & Menorah Lighting and last summer’s 4th of July Celebration and Summer Concerts. Membership dues also help fund Neighborhood Watch, street median beautification, street banners, and the monthly newsletter; and provide additional funding for public school activities such as those sponsored by EdUCate!

Take a look at the attached lists of new members, first published in the November and December/January UCCA newsletters (click or tap document to view). Please join UCCA in saying thank you to your neighbors and local businesses who show their support for University City through their UCCA membership.

*Those who join before December 12 will receive their 2016 membership card and thank you gift in the US mail the week of December 21.

Here’s what’s New! and included in your 2016 membership:
• New! An updated news feed at www.UniversityCityNews.org
• New! City Council election candidate forum (Fall 2016)
• New! A 2016 magnetic calendar

And, there’s more:
• 10 issues of University City Newsletter (soon to be celebrating 14 years of continuous publication!)
• Local community volunteer opportunities
• 10 Community Forum meetings at the Library on Governor (2nd Wednesday, 6 PM except for August and December)
