UCCA Election Results; 2016 Goals

UCCA Election RectangleThanks to all who showed their support for UCCA and voted in the UCCA officer election on Wednesday, November 18 at the library on Governor.

Going into the election, the nominees for the 2016 UCCA board officer positions, as unanimously approved at the October UCCA meeting, were:

President – Barry Bernstein
Vice-president – Diane Ahern
Secretary – Karen Martinez
Treasurer – Don Hotz

There were no nominations from the floor. Voting continued throughout the 2 hour meeting. Results were announced by Jemma Samala who oversaw the voting process. UCCA’s 2016 board officers are:

President – Barry Bernstein
Vice-president – Diane Ahern
Secretary – Karen Martinez
Treasurer – Don Hotz

They each immediately assumed their respective positions.

Two major objectives of UCCA in 2016 include supporting the planning of “Imagine UC 2020” and hosting the City Council Candidate’s Forum in October.
