GARDEN CLUB OCTOBER MEETUP, Saturday, October 24, 10 AM to noon at the garden of Carol Costarikis and Rolf Haas on Sandburg Avenue. Please note this is a morning event.

The Club returns to the location of its very first garden meetup. Signs posted on Saturday morning will point the way to this beautiful garden.

The home is featured in this year’s October issue of San Diego Home and Garden.

The centerpiece of the garden is a large koi pond with giant fish of different colors, surrounded by bromeliads and succulents of all kinds, as well as several tillandsia (air plants). Waterfalls cascade into the pond. Mosaics on tabletops, fancifully decorated animals, and stained glass ceramics and pottery abound.

Carol, who is an interior designer by profession, will speak on her vision of gardening. If you must attend only one meetup a year, this is the one!
